MOUTH OF CHI (QI)

The front door, considered the main entrance of your home or business, is an important area. It’s called the “Mouth of Chi (qi).” It means vital life force. It authorizes the quality of life energy – chi (qi) that is entering the house every single time the door is opened. Chi (qi) constantly flows around us and within our homes and workplaces through objects, windows, corridors and rooms. Well, beyond this, chi is the force that creates and binds together all things in the universe. It is, paradoxically, everything and nothing.

Aha, do you know? In traditional Chinese culture, qi 氣 (chi or ch’i) represents “energy – the life force.” Which literally means “vapor”, “air”, or “breath.” 氣 Qi is pronounced “Chee” and is often written as chi. In Japanese, it is called ki, and in Korean, gi. Indian philosophers call it PRANA (प्राण).

Some homes or offices may have other doors for daily use. However, here we are primarily talking about the main door. If you are not using this door, you are blocking energy circulations that prevents opportunities and positivity from entering your premises. If this is the only door you have, you’ve got to make sure how you place it so that you and your family have the best circulation of energy.

Let’s imagine a guest visiting you. A guest who can give you opportunities and success. The only condition is a warm welcome to this guest. You have to create a clear path for this guest to invite abundant chi (qi) blessing your fate.

✔️*THE DIRECTION*

People often analyze and discuss in which direction their main door is. The main door direction as per Vastu is considered auspicious when it is facing the northeast, north, east or west. These directions are believed to be propitious. It is also believed that one should avoid the main entrance facing the southwest, south, northwest or southeast directions.

If you have a door facing the south or southwest, you can correct it by fixing a lead helix and lead metal pyramid. Similarly, if you have the main door facing the southeast copper pyramid and copper helix can rectify the energy. If your door is facing the northwest, you can convert the energy to become positive by fixing a brass pyramid and brass helix

  ✔️*MIRROR AT THE ENTRANCE*

YES? No no - a big NO. No no no - a big YES. Huh?

Some schools recommend NO mirror facing the main door because a mirror reflects the energy back. Therefore, a mirror at the front door pushes away the energy, rather than welcoming chi (qi) into the home or workplace.

Well, some other schools say that a mirror can expand a strangled entry to make it feel larger. A well-placed mirror even before the main entrance can invite elemental energies with a reflection of nature. This way, a mirror facing the front door summons a positive energy rather than pushing it away.

 ✔️*A CONFLICT ARISES*

This instigates conflicts, arguments and more of fear as what to follow. Don’t let this fear hostile your sleep. First of all, feel safe because it is your own house or workplace. You have transformed a concrete structure into emotional waves. It doesn’t matter which school says what. If you care for your home and family with love and mindfulness, it will nurture and love you the same way. ✔️*PLACEMENT OF A MIRROR*

Not everything needs to be corrected there itself. Moving or adjusting the mirror somewhere close to the front door and you are set. A slight movement of the mirror and it is no longer aligned exactly opposite to the entrance. The concern is about the mirror directly in front of the main door. Mirrors or any sparkling things should be avoided right before the main entrance as they will drain or expel the positive energy from the house or office. Your entryway mirror should be place on the side wall or you can fix them with tilted angle before the main door. A few smaller decorations next to it that will busy up the area. However, make sure that your mirror isn’t hanging too high. Fix a mirror that’s big enough to stretch up the wall.

For whatever reason if you could not move the mirror, say it is fixed on the wall, be creative. Befog the reflection by placing an object before the mirror. Say a plant, furniture, an idol or something. Maintain at least five to six feet clear space before this object and the main door. Do not constrict the place to squeeze the entering energy. Another way is to beautify the mirror with paints, stickers, fabrics, papers and other sticky artifacts. Well, do not overwhelm and make it ugly.

There is more to the mirrors. Not inside the front door but outside. If you want to boost the positive energy in your home or workplace, fix a mirror in your balcony, lobby or outside the main door where it reflects the beautiful view. Remember, a beautiful view and not any untidy lane or opposite houses which is showing up in the mirror. Position a mirror so that it reflects the actual scene or beauty and everything in its path will be reflected around your house. This will boost the positivity of the residents to bring good luck and wealth.

Small obstacles at the entrance affect your daily life. Ignoring the main entrance is the biggest mistake you make. Like, an open shoe rack, dusty edges, corners, and windows at the sides of the entrance, or even the unattended decorative at the main door invite negative energy inside the house or workplace. You have to care for your front door. De-clutter the area and keep it clean. Incorporate some aroma. Scent your entrance or hallway. Your home is your mirror; an autobiographical part of your identity, providing physical and mental shelter and prosperity. Your office is your strength and financial means to wealth. You can even use diffusers or the essential oils that suit your zodiac sign. Use the aromatherapy that can reduce stress, respiratory infections, muscular pains, or other medicinal benefits. Spread the fragrance by using the essential oils like eucalyptus, lemon-grass, peppermint, lavender, jasmine, rosemary, bergamot, rose or any other that suits the mood and harmony of the residents of the premises. Put some lights to brighten the entrance. Clean the fixtures because the dust prevents the light from shining through the entrance. Paint the walls and ceilings with bright colors.
